Hi-Spec Super Softie: Chevron & Lime 

This sensory lap blanket is intended as a learning aid to help develop sensory awareness. IT IS NOT A TOY.

These high contrast lap blankets are made with top of the range fabrics and ribbons that have passed the Oeko-Tex confidence in textiles tests. The cuddle fleece and cuddle shaggy are made by Shannon fabrics and imported from the USA. Both are incredibly soft while the long pile shaggy fabric, as well as being super soft, provides a lovely textured feel for your child. The pile of the shaggy fabric is approximately 25mm. The blanket is lined with 100% cotton in a black and white zebra stripe design. These sensory lap blankets have been made as part of a pair with one having a zigzag central pattern while the other has the lime shaggy panel at its centre.  If your child has a particular preference, please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate your request. Two black and white striped Berisford ribbons for the long clips with the four fixed clips attached with black and white checked Berisford ribbon. The sensory lap blanket has a central 'fiddle tag' on long edge that sits near the child's tummy which can also be used as an attachment point for more special objects or souvenirs, perhaps from a special day out?  Please note that this listing is for the lap blanket only. Attachments are listed separately and can be sent with a lap blanket for an extra 50p postage charge and items will be sent in a plain, white box.

Lobster clips are very robust but do contain small parts which could represent a choking hazard to children under three years or older children who mouth their toys.

These sensory lap blankets were originally created for a very important girl who spends most of her time either in a wheelchair or sitting down.  The lap blanket is just the right size to easily fit across the knees with some spare fabric to tuck in at the sides.  When worn in this way, the lobster clips provide four points to attach toys and other special objects in order to keep them within easy reach with two additional clips attached to ribbons for use with objects that need more movement such as mirrors, books and simple musical instruments.  Of course, if your child enjoys kneeling, the lap blanket could be placed on the floor with the toys spread out for your child to look at or explore.  

Sensory lap blankets dimensions are 68 cm x 45 cm approximately but as each lap blanket is individually made, these dimensions might vary slightly. 

These lap blankets can be machine washed and will not shrink. A colour collector sheet is provided to stop any colour transference.
